"Art thru Muvmnt was created to provide UNITY within the commUNITY by offering  opportUNITY with dance workshops, intensives and events." Our goal is to provide dance students with the highest quality of dance instruction and to bring opportunities that may not be possible in a regular dance studio setting.

Established in 2013, Art Thru Muvmnt's first hosted event featured Chachi Gonzales and Di "Moon" Zhang of IaMmE Crew as the headliners of an amazing day long event.  After seeing how one event could bring together the dance commUNITY from up and down the East Coast, Art Thru Muvmnt knew this could become a staple for it's dance community in the Hampton Roads area.  Since that event until today, Art Thru Muvmnt has been able to provide a stage for some world-renowned choreographers to share their artistry in Virginia Beach.  Choreographers that we have featured are: Matt Steffanina, Dana Alexa, Blake McGrath, Kida The Great, Laura Edwards, Brian Puspos, Mikey Dellavella, Travis Wall, Denise Wall, and Robert Hoffman.

While a headliner is what might be the main attraction, we also love to provide a stage for local choreographers to share their talents as well.  This is how we can achieve the "UNITY within the commUNITY", even if it's for 1 day.  This 1 day allows local choreographers (from local studios or within the community) to teach, train, and share their story with dancers outside of their circle/studio.  

 

It is uncertain if "MUVMNT DANCE DAY" has become an "expectancy" within the commUNITY, however, we are proud to ensure that we continue to provide this platform!  Thank you for your support in our MUVMNT!  "Every Dancer Is An Artist In Their Own Way And They Display Their ART THRU MUVMNT."
